About Catching for kids
Catching for Kids was launched by a dad who loves to fish and has three young children. As a business owner, I am afforded many opportunities to do what I love but that isn't always the case for everyone. In an attempt to provide more opportunities to those in the community who want to enjoy this amazing hobby, Catching for Kids was born.
Catching for Kids is a 501(c)(3) that has a mission aimed directly at taking in donations and gifts and getting those to families and children in the community who would like to get outdoors and spend some time together fishing. Thus far we have raised money to provide rods, reels and tackle to over 200 families across the Raleigh-Durham area. We hope to greatly expand these efforts while also launching community events and fishing opportunities to get children access to more than just conventional fishing in their local pond.
Relationships built and lessons learned while on the water have afforded my family so much goodness and I hope we can do the same for many children to come.
